| At the G8 Summit, Sharp introduced a television technology that makes a lot of sense to me: A Television that provides it’s own power! It’s done through a thin solar panel technology and begs only one question of me. Must you watch it outside? |
| Every once in a while a new technology borrows a form or function of an old technology and re-invents itself in the process. A company called Hulger Boutique Phones is doing just that by introducing a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone that looks like the early phone handset style. Thinking about this a little more, it becomes obvious that it makes perfect sense. To quote my favorite comedy movie of the century: “They’re Here…”
I’m talking about Robots. Those upright, mechanized and humanized androids that have fascinated us in recent years. With the recent release of Disney/Pixars Wall-e Movie, I thought it would be a great time to explore the subject.
When I was a kid and I wanted a robot, my dad would tell me: “Son, if you want a Robot you can have one. You just have to come up with a billion dollars- and don’t you come to me boy!”.
Not anymore…

No. So why haven’t they sent some masked black clad men after me collecting this enormous past due bill?
Why haven’t they been blowin’ up my phone line?
