To quote my favorite comedy movie of the century: “They’re Here…”
I’m talking about Robots. Those upright, mechanized and humanized androids that have fascinated us in recent years. With the recent release of Disney/Pixars Wall-e Movie, I thought it would be a great time to explore the subject.
When I was a kid and I wanted a robot, my dad would tell me: “Son, if you want a Robot you can have one. You just have to come up with a billion dollars- and don’t you come to me boy!”.
Not anymore…
These days you’ve got several Robotic options just to clean your floor! We’re talking spic & span here, these things really work (just read the reviews on shopping sites). While they fall short on eye appeal, they get the job done! Check out these budding home-making droids :
Just plug her in, feed her juice and let her get to the job of picking up all those popcorn kernels, since you obviously don’t want to…
It loves to do what you hate! Its knees never get sore and it won’t ever nag or complain while washing and scrubbing your floors, although it may just plot against you (who knows?)…
At the CES 2008 trade show, a company called WowWee made a big splash with a new line of Robot toys that appeal to the mass market and are priced sub-$100. Most notable of these was the “TriBot” and the “FemiSapien”.
These new Robots feature the latest technologies in the WowWee line of smart & sassy, walking, talking, personality-packed robots. They are Intelligent, interactive and even speak their own language of emotive sounds while responding to users’ gestures, touch and sound. What’s even cooler is how they can even interact with and control other WowWee robots! I hear they hunt Furby’s…
These aren’t out on the shelf just yet, however the latest available WowWee Robots are at Amazon.com and other fine online retailers, so check out these Robots that you can own today:

Those WowWee robots are actually pretty simple compared to what is possible with technology today. I admit, though… the female one is pretty hot! Of course they didn’t make one look like roseanne barr.
